Perth Operations last experienced a Lost Work Case (LWC) incident in October 1998, this being a neck sprain whilst completing the HUET Training program. Since then we have achieved over 2.5 million man hours without a LWC incident. We believe our 24 / 7 SHE initiative has been a major factor in this by raising awareness of risks throughout our normal daily activities.

The Australian Minister of Resources presented the award to J P Kenny on 15th November 2006.
