Our expertise in gas production and processing includes gas conditioning (hydrate control, dew point control and sweetening), NGL recovery, stabilization and dehydration, fractionation and export and re-injection compression.
Notable projects include:
Marathon Alba Phase II Development, Equatorial Guinea
This offshore and onshore gas condensate recovery and LPG facilities expansion project included offshore platform expansions, marine pipelines, onshore processing, recompression, gas injection, dehydration, condensate removal dehydration and storage, cryogenic gas fractionation plant, and marine terminal for export of product.
Mustang's scope of work included detailed engineering design of the onshore facilities assisting Marathon with the overall project management of the project. Phase 2A of the project was executed on a fast-track schedule, with engineering completed in May 2003 and start-up of the new Phase 2A facilities in late September 2003. Mustang engineered the OSBL facilities and interconnection of the gas fractionation plant equipment during Phase 2B which includes an 870 MMSCFD turbo-expander gas plant with a 30,000 BPD NGL liquids fractionation facility.
Conoco, Inc. - Belanek Field Development, Offshore Indonesia
Mustang prepared a conceptual engineering study which included concept selection and preliminary engineering, leading to the development of an EPC bid package. Study recommendations selected an FPSO configuration to include a fixed platform and a jack-up facility. The 1,000,000 barrel storage FPSO is the world's first FPSO with an LPG gas processing and fractionation plant.
Santa Fe Energy - Sierra Chata Field, Neuquen, Argentina
The Sierra Chata Field project included a refrigerated gas plant and associated 42-mile pipeline in the Neuquen Basin. Grassroots facility included inlet separation, gas compression, CO2 removal and gas refrigeration. Mustang provided initial development plan assistance, preliminary design, detail design, procurement, inspection, ocean shipping coordination, construction management and had overall AFE cost responsibility.
