	17th December 2002 - Wood Group Creates New Turbine Controls Upgrade And Services Business Wood Group has announced the formation of Wood Group Turbine Control Services, Inc. (TCS). The new company will support clients in the power generation, petrochemical, pipeline, oil & gas, industrial and marine industries by providing turbine control upgrades and services for gas, steam, and hydro turbomachinery, including turnkey installations.

	10th December 2002 - Wood Group Opens New ESP Facility in Argentina Wood Group has opened a new 38,000 square feet facility in Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina, dedicated to the manufacture, test and repair of electric submersible pumps (ESPs) and their components used by the oil industry to maximize production.

	10th December 2002 - Wood Group Expands Wireline Services into Texas Wood Group has expanded its wireline services into Texas with the establishment of operations at Pearland, Fairfield and Alice. The new locations will offer mechanical, or slickline, well intervention services specifically tailored for high-pressure, difficult environments.

	4th December 2002 - Wood Group Receives Technical Innovation Award from BP Wood Group Pressure Control (WGPC) has earned a technical innovation award from BP North America for the collaborative development of a new sand extractor that enabled BP to significantly increase gas flow by reducing sand production.

	3rd December 2002 - Mustang Engineering provides Project Management Services for Fast Track West Africa FPSO Development Mustang Engineering has completed project management services for a FPSO development for VAALCO Gabon (Etame), Inc. in the Etame Field offshore Gabon.

	18th November 2002 - BG awards Dolphin Deep Development Contract BG Trinidad and Tobago (50 percent operator of the East Coast Marine Area) with partner ChevronTexaco have awarded a contract to Wood Group Trinidad and Tobago (WGTT) for the provision of Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management services for the development of the East Coast Dolphin Deep field and upgrade of the Dolphin platform facility.

	13th November 2002 - Wood Group Announces Winners of Chairman's Safety Awards Sir Ian Wood, chairman and managing director of Wood Group, has presented the company's annual Chairman's Safety Awards to three of its operating companies demonstrating the best performance in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) during 2002.

	22nd October 2002 - Wood Group Wins Contract in Colombia to Design, Build, Operate and Maintain a New Processing Facility for BP Equipo, a Colombian company principally owned by international energy services company Wood Group, has signed a five-year contract with BP Exploration Company (Colombia) Ltd. to design, build, operate and maintain an early production processing facility on the Recetor block in the Casanare region in Colombia.

	17th October 2002 - Wood Group Acquires UK-Based Rotary Electrical Company Ltd The Gas Turbine Services division of John Wood Group PLC ("Wood Group") has acquired the generator repair and coil manufacturing business and assets of UK electrical generator services company, Rotary Electrical Company Ltd.

	10th October 2002 - Sir Ian Wood wins two Scottish Corporate Elite Awards Sir Ian Wood, chairman and chief executive of John Wood Group PLC, won two Scottish Business Insider's awards - 'Corporate Elite Leader of the Year' and 'Business Achivement Award' - at last night's Corporate Elite Leadership Lecture and Award ceremony in The National Museums of Scotland, Edinburgh.

	7th October 2002 - Wood Group Gas Turbine Services acquires Thomason Mechanical and Bender Machine Wood Group Gas Turbine Services, a division of John Wood Group PLC ("Wood Group"), has acquired the business and assets of Thomason Mechanical Corporation ("TMC") and sister company Bender Machine for a cash consideration of approximately $46 million.

	25th September 2002 - Wood Group's Mustang Tampa Awarded $21million Contract for Gas-To-Liquids Plant Wood Group subsidiary, Mustang Tampa, Inc. has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a $21 million grassroots gas-to-liquids (GTL) demonstration plant that will be part of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Ultra-Clean Fuels Program.

	17th September 2002 - Wood Group acquires majority interest in Santos Barbosa in Brazil Wood Group Engineering & Production Facilities Brasil Ltda, a subsidiary of John Wood Group PLC ("Wood Group"), has acquired 51% of Santos Barbosa Tecnica Comercio e Servicos Ltda, a Macae-based provider of offshore modifications and maintenance services to the Campos Basin in the Brazilian offshore market.

	5th September 2002 - Wood Group Power Creates new US Center of Excellence for servicing industrial gas turbines Wood Group Power, Inc. (WGP) is creating a new center of excellence in East Windsor, Conneticut to greatly enhance the maintenance, repair and overhaul service it offers to operators of industrial gas turbines across the US.

	3rd September 2002 - Wood Group, the international energy services company today announces its interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2002 In the first set of interim results following our recent IPO, we are pleased to report strong progress. In the six months to June 2002, revenues increased 14% to $812.7 million (2001: $713.0 million), earnings before interest, taxation and amortisation ("EBITA") increased 19% to $61.7 million (2001: $52.0 million) and earnings per share pre amortisation increased 28% to 7.8 cents (2001: 6.1 cents).

	27th August 2002 - Wood Group acquires Industrial Repair Service, Inc. John Wood Group PLC ("Wood Group") has acquired Industrial Repair Service, Inc. ("IRS"), an electrical generator services company providing specialized generator maintenance, field outage engineering, and high voltage coil support services to power companies throughout the Americas.

	20th August 2002 - Agip Extends Contract with Wood Group Production Technology to Provide Permenant Downhole Gauge Systems and Services in Gulf of Mexico Wood Group Production Technology (WGPT) will continue as the primary preferred vendor of permanent downhole pressure and temperature gauge systems and services to Agip Petroleum Company's Gulf of Mexico oil and gas wells.

	31st July 2002 - Jorge Cela joins Wood Group Pressure Control as Regional Manager for Latin America Wood Group Pressure Control (WGPC) has appointed Argentina native Jorge Cela to the new position of regional manager, Latin America, with responsibility for identifying and penetrating new opportunities, while growing the company's presence in existing markets.

	11th July 2002 - Wood Group wins major oilfield support contract in Colombia Equipo de Servicios Petroleros Ltda, a Colombian company majority-owned and managed by international energy services company, Wood Group has signed a 5-year contract with BP (on behalf of Ecopetrol and other partners) for maintenance, operations, field-engineering, inventory management, and supply chain management on the Cusiana and Cupiagua oil fields in Colombia.

	4th July 2002 - Wood Group Engineering (North Sea) Ltd wins Exxonmobil contract Gas Plant Services, an operating unit of Wood Group Engineering (North Sea) Ltd based in Aberdeen, has announced the award of a contract from Mobil North Sea Limited (MNSL), an Exxonmobil subsidiary.

	2nd July 2002 - J P Kenny appoints new Operations Director in Australia J P Kenny, a leading international pipeline and subsea engineering company, has appointed Phil Brown as Operations Director for their Perth office in Australia.

	2nd July 2002 - Frontier Engineering Solutions Appoints Operations Director Frontier Engineering Solutions (Asia Pacific) Pty Ltd has appointed Mel Foster as Operations Director. With associated offices in Aberdeen and London, Perth-based Frontier serves clients primarily in Australasia and S.E. Asia. 	27th June 2002 - Wood Group Acquires Operators & Consulting Services Inc. John Wood Group PLC has acquired Operators & Consulting Services, Inc. ("OCS"), an oilfield services company providing specialized outsourced personnel, along with operations and maintenance support services to oil and gas producers in the Gulf of Mexico.

	19th June 2002 - Sigma 3 hosts innovation and technology exhibition New joint venture company, Sigma 3 (North Sea) Ltd is hosting its first innovation and technology exhibition at the Hilton Treetops Hotel in Aberdeen on Wednesday June 19.

	12th June 2002 - J P Kenny wins BP Tangguh pipelines feed Following an international competitive tender, Wood Group subsidiary J P Kenny, in conjunction with its local partner PT Supraco, have been awarded a contract by BP Berau Indonesia for the Tangguh subsea pipelines FEED/detailed design. Work will be carried out in both Australia and Indonesia.

	6th June 2002 - Wood Group Light Industrial Turbines brings cutting- edge capabilities to Aberdeen Aberdeen-based Wood Group Light Industrial Turbines (WGLIT) launched their new £6 million, 4-berth test facility on June 6 to provide full load performance testing for TB, Tornado and Typhoon gas turbines. 	15th May 2002 - Mustang engineers and constructors awarded Celanese alliance contract Mustang Engineers and Constructors has been awarded an engineering and procurement services contract with Celanese Limited.

	10th May 2002 - Wood Group, the international energy services company, today announces the offer of 129,858,667 Ordinary shares at an offer price expected to be between 175 pence and 210 pence per share Wood Group today announces that Ordinary Shares offered in the initial public offering (the "Offer") of Wood Group are expected to be priced between 175 pence and 210 pence per Ordinary Share. Based on an Offer Price of 192½ pence, being the mid point of the offer price range, Wood Group's expected market capitalisation will be £923.4m.

	1st May 2002 - Mustang Engineering to help extend the life of Permian Basin oil wells Mustang Engineering has been awarded a contract to design the facilities for a CO2 flood in the North Hobbs oil field, Hobbs, New Mexico, operated by Oxy Permian Ltd. a subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: OXY).

	22nd April 2002 - Wood Group, the international energy services company, today announces record annual results and its intention to float. Wood Group continued its excellent progress during 2001 and I am pleased to announce record revenue and profit growth. Revenues increased 44% to US$1,524m (2000: US$1062m) and operating profit increased 56% to US $103.7m (2000: US $66.4m). Adjusted earnings per ordinary share increased 61%. We also continued our significant investment programme, with acquisition and capital expenditure totalling US $86.6m (2000: US $194.4m).

	19th April 2002 - Contractors form major new joint venture to manage £750 million contract for Shell Expro A new joint venture company, Sigma 3 (North Sea) Ltd, has been set up to support Shell U.K. Exploration and Production (Shell Expro), operators in the U.K. sector of the North Sea on behalf of Shell, Esso and co-venturers. AMEC, Wood Group Engineering (North Sea) and KBR, a Halliburton Company, have joined forces to form Sigma 3 to provide integrated services for a major 7-year contract on behalf of Shell Expro worth an estimated £750million.

	2nd April 2002 - Mustang Engineering expands automation and control offering Mustang Engineering announced that it has augmented the work and pre-commissioning staging areas of its Houston-based Automation and Control Group (MAC).

	7th March 2002 - ATP Oil & Gas Selects Wood Group Production Services to Service 13 Gulf of Mexico Platforms Wood Group Production Services (WGPS) has been contracted by ATP Oil & Gas Corporation (NASDAQ:ATPG) to operate 13 of the company's Gulf of Mexico natural gas and oil producing platforms, effective February 1, 2002.

	5th March 2002 - HRH The Princess Royal to visit Wood Group on 6th March 2002 HRH The Princess Royal will visit Aberdeen-based John Wood Group PLC on Wednesday 6th March 2002. 	14th January 2002 - Wood Group Acquires Jakarta-based Wellhead Equipment Operation Wood Group has acquired the business and assets of the TNG division of PT Bekasi Metal INTI Megah. The Jakart-based business will operate as PT Wood Group Pressure Control (PT WGPC)
