Pipeline management software
Wood Group software systems encompass pipeline design, installation, integrity and operations from monitoring and control of production, to overall asset management and optimization.
The pipeline design software includes flexible pipe, steel & flexible production riser, drilling riser and mooring system analysis.
The installation software comprises pipelay analysis for S-lay, J-lay and reeling.
The integrity management software includes life-cycle data capture, fitness for purpose (FFP) analysis, inspection/maintenance planning, management and reporting.
The operational software includes on-board monitoring of Riser systems, as well as field-proven pipeline and asset management for multiphase and single-phase systems and for all facets of offshore and onshore operations. These systems enable the user to perform a broad range of functions, including detailed monitoring of operational integrity of the pipelines and related processing facilities, performing production planning, optimizing production blending and managing pipeline inventory.
Also offered is an operational system that eliminates the guesswork in running and operating complex production, gathering and transmission infrastructures. By providing real-time control of operations, productivity can be optimized and operational downtime minimized. Another component of the software management system is used to optimize production performance in gas and oil gathering and transportation systems. It provides continuous information and forecasts pipeline performance, including rate, temperature, pressure, density and velocity profiles. It also measures line pack and unpack status and time until completion. It allows consequence analysis of planned and unplanned shutdowns and equipment availability throughout the day.
Leak detection and location systems are also provided to ensure operational integrity for onshore and offshore pipelines.
