This system is based upon the development and use of Wood Group procedures to provide a consistent approach in identifying and satisfying our customers' technical, commercial and quality requirements. Wood Group is also committed to providing work with the highest level of quality, strict mechanical tolerances and that complies with applicable government regulations.

Wood Group provides complete, turnkey services for onshore pipelines that include:

  • Project Management: From route studies, cost estimates, right-of-way and permit acquisition, survey, engineering and construction management and inspection--all to provide our customers with the best and most complete project management service available.
  • Design and Engineering: Wood Group provides a full range of engineering, design, and drafting services to clients for compressor and pump stations, meter and regulator stations, as well as other facilities. New pipelines, facilities and facility additions are designed in accordance with all applicable government regulations, operating company requirements, and approved stakeholder requests. The interdependency between these entities, as well as strict mechanical tolerances, have made it more and more important that all engineering, design, and drafting work be performed to the highest level of quality. Excellent engineering and design can save the client thousands of dollars in material, equipment and construction costs.
  • Environmental Services: Our experienced environmental professionals, engineers, scientists, project managers and inspectors bring broad expertise to our clients' environmental needs. These services include environmental permitting and environmental impact analysis (EIA/EIS), risk assessments, compliance audits, waste minimization, environmental design and environmental management planning, inspection and monitoring.
  • Construction Management: Wood Group's best practices ensure that a project is constructed safely and is completed in a timely manner, within budget, meeting the requirements of the project drawings, project specifications, right-of-way line lists and in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, permits and codes.
  • Inspection: Wood Group provides a full range of inspection services to clients for pipelines, compressor/pump stations, and most other oil & gas related facilities. Our inspectors can be involved in every stage of a project or a single phase specified by the client.
  • Procurement Services: Wood Group's procurement group is a one-stop shop with responsibilities for purchasing, expediting, transportation/logistics, materials management/inventory control and corporate purchasing/subcontracts. All of these responsibilities and services are under the remit of the project purchasing manager assigned to the project.
  • Feasibility Studies & Cost Estimates: Wood Group provides clients with an accurate, thorough assessment of project construction cost at any level. Feasibility studies include evaluating various alternatives and considering a range of variables that may include environmental factors, geological conditions, risk, cost, schedule and constructability considerations. These services are increasingly important in the support of environmental impact studies (EIA/EIS).
  • Due Diligence: The due diligence study is an important part of a turn-key process. It means reviewing local regulations, records and relevant studies of operations and environmental conditions. The Wood Group team will identify and evaluate liability as well as recommending management options and estimating costs. It also means conducting field visits to inspect processing facilities and pipelines for evidence of environmental damages and liabilities, performing soil, surface water and groundwater sampling and analysis where applicable.
