Wood Group views the Middle East and Africa as a key region and continues to grow its range of services for our Middle East and Africa customers.
Our Group companies are now well established in the region, using local facilities, local resources and employing local personnel. We now have more than 500 employees in the region and plan to increase this by at least 50% in 2006.
These pages include updates on some of our business successes in the region including Wood Group Pressure Control which has won seven new contracts in North Africa plus a contract with LUKSAR, one of four approved International Oil Company (IOC) consortiums in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to supply wellhead and xmas tree equipment. Mustang Engineering has performed engineering and project construction management services in the region for many clients including ADCO), Dubai Petroleum, Ibn Hayyan/Petrokemya/SABIC in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, ADGAS, Qatar Petroleum (QP) and Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (TAKREER). Wood Group Production Facilities has just been awarded an engineering & construction modifications contract in Algeria by the three partners of the In Amenas Project (IAP), marking the company's first entry into the Middle East and Africa region.
